Slightly OT - Silbury music etc
Nov 21, 2010, 21:44
Thanks for the positive comments.

I was just updating my website and it occurred to me that one or two of the pieces of music may be of interest to someone here - in particular `Silbury Hill.'

This was partly written on site. I'd bought a second-hand keyboard that runs off batteries, and I called at Silbury on the way home and had a bit of a walk before trying to compose something with the atmosphere of the place while sitting in my car in the rain. I recorded Silbury Hill at home the next day, entirely using the keyboard I'd been using there and building on what I'd written there.

Also `Dragon Hill' on the website is based on the small hill below White Horse Hill.

I don't know if what I've recorded relates at all to how other people feel at such locations? Possibly not, considering the range of personalities and reasons for interest in ancient sites, but it would be interesting to know.

The website's at http://sweep.infinite9ths.com and Dragon Hill is number three in the music player and Silbury number nine.
