More Miles that is a bit like Kind Of Blue

Also the Miles Davis CD's "Milestones" and "1958 Sessions" (originally from an LP called "Jazz Track") are very similar to "Kind of Blue" (recorded immediately before.)

For that matter the Cookin/Relaxin/Workin/Steamin series on Prestige from 1956 are all noteworthy (Cookin and Workin probably the best -- the other two more geared to cover tunes.)

Pretty much anything from 1954-1960 or so in fact!

Starting with "Seven Steps To Heaven" (1962), he's putting together the next famous band with Herbie and Ron and Tony (also good, but definitely more "mod.")
