Seconded! One of my favourite Coltrane albums. I would also recommend "Giant Steps" and "Blue Train" as the perfect introduction to Trane.

Another two favorites of mine that haven't been mentioned elsewhere in this thread are "Destination Out" by Jackie McLean and "Gravy Train" by Lou Donaldson.

...and if you are in a funkier mood, "The Sidewinder" by Lee Morgan and "A Night In Tunisia" by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers.
