Okay we've got into the dialectal/perception bit. :D

There is a perceived society, one that can accept violence but not nudity. It doesnt matter if thats the true society or not, it's the perception that is made of it. As this perception is the wholly accepted, yet hypocritical one, our culture will for the most part reflect it. And when artists try to fight against it they just get bogged down in the 'oh you're just trying to shock people you' crap.

And the yes its 'holier than thou not to own a TV' was er.. a joke really. Any non-conformist action that's justified with a 'because-its-crap' argument will always be judged like that. I'm treated with suspicion for having my nose pierced, so ? *shrug*

I'm not saying it's a good thing to be judged like that, I'm as non-conformist as the next weirdo.
