You mean like take exams? Yes. We all have to take tests of competence in multiple ways and you rarely hear people saying it's undignified or degrading. On the contary, doing so is our badge of dignity and our defence against those who might otherwise accuse us of being bad drivers, quack doctors or general incompetents. Off the top of my head the only people other than dowsers I can think of who think being tested is humiliating are Russian lady shot putters. Can't think why.
