Dowser : ” The force is felt by the dowser and the Mcguffins help visualise the effect ,as in the needle of a meter , not actually record the force .”
Not sure, but I would have thought that plastic or paper wouldn’t be a problem for a “good” dowser . The dowsing kits sold by Watkins bookshop in the early 70 ‘s certainly had a plastic pendulum with plastic bits on the rods , much the same these days too .

This bloke is ” good” with animals http://www.billnorthern.com/lost.html , it’s too close to the psychic stuff to be funny though .

Good point .
Like us , animals find stuff all the time without the palaver associated with rods and beliefs .
Dowser: “being closer to nature than ourselves , animals are actually dowsing all the time , just tapping into a simple natural ability that we have lost due to “civilisation and reason “ .
