If it is connected, then it could spool out a whole series of explanations and perhaps explain the past (though I have no idea what the other monuments are and what symbols they contain so I'm just guessing).

I'm kinda reluctant to reveal my storyline for the novels though. If there's no significant interest, then it should stay heavily buried because it will make a marvellous storyline for the novels: The reason for both Stonehenge's rise and its fall. (I planned to write this as a novel, but not in the near future).
