There's a Modern stone circle built amongst the horrible china clay quarries very near Carn Grey [The standing stones of the area have been found to have come from this outcrop] north of st Austell near Trethurgy, I think people do this in the belief it helps to heal the land by controlling the flow of broken energy, acupuncture of the land if you like, not a personal belief but a nice one nevertheless [not by quarry companies though].
