I think the only thing that went "wrong" was that Mike's love of promoting huge swastika symbols in public was brought up. It's a very sore point and will cause actual distress to older people. He shouldn't do it. It's cruel.

That's all I now have "against him" personally, since he has assured me he won't hurt any ancient sites in the future.

But that's something I DO hold against him, and so does everyone I suspect. Let him give THAT up and I suspect there'll be no "edge" to the (minimal and reducing) direct responses to his posts.
