I've read the Qu'ran too, and to be fair Muhammed did pull a reverse Malcolm X and come back to his first draft and add some fire and brimstone. He'd probably just been dumped that day, and not being able to leave drunken voicemails, he took his anger out on his prophecy instead.

Do think this is all much more of a socio-economic thing all the same, but I mostly willingly choose to eschew the ins and outs of modern-day life in favour of dusty old tomes and My Little Pony episodes instead, so wadda I know? Practically anything's better for the ol' noggin than the news.
