The Grails collection has been a slow burner in the den, but well worth it. The decidedly druggie tracks are just that; I had to have a lie down after hearing them lol. I know which way this is going - the initial Black Tar Prophecies collection has been ordered.


It's more subtle than previous releases - so I found the record enjoyable on first listens but wasn't actually listening to some of the stuff going on. But more layers emerge in time. I keep meaning to count the numbers of guitar tones and textures on Self-Hypnosis! The two piano lines in Up All Night; the single, simple guitar on Invitation to Ruin... I could go on - lovely!
