I love that music. What recording have you been listening to? I have the Naxos one with the Royal National Scottish Orch. Would be interested to have a comparison recording.

On a related topic have you tried the music of the recently departed Johnathan Harvey? The collection called Body Mandala and the Bird Concerto with Plainsong record might be up your classical street.
