Was that the year that The Tubes played Knebworth? My memory fails me on that one. What I do remember was that The Tubes at Knebworth had fallen foul of Health & Safety regs and were not therefore allowed to use a real chainsaw on stage. Their mockup wasn't particularly realistic!


That was the Peter Gabriel / Zappa year. 78? 79?


Memory is such a fickle thing. I have absolutely no recollection of seeing Peter Gabriel or Zappa at that festival!
