Love 'em both, and to be honest, get different things out of them really.

Hawkwind appeal more the the hell-yeah rock side of things and Gong probably have a bit more going on and are ,well, a bit sillier.

All of which are qualities I admire.

For the length of the love given Hawkwind edge it I suppose
