Traffic - Where the Eagle Flies - not their best but still very good.

Deep Purple - Fireball - my fave Purps LP? quite possibly - it has a much darker edge to it than In Rock or Machine Head.

Jimi Hendrix - In The Studio Vol 1, Vol 2 and Vol 3- Out takes collection runs to 10 CD's in total - comprises alternate versions, demos, and a few tracks that didn't make it on commercial releases. There is a fantastic version of the Noel Redding track She's So Fine which I have always liked. This is a louder/heavier mix than the Axis version and Redding has a hint of Greasy Heart era Grace Slick to the vocals (in my opinion any way - and I did say hint he wasnt that good a singer) and the harmony chorus is missing. Anyway it is great. Mitch Mitchell takes top honours for the way he rattles around the kit.

Think thats me.

Till next week pop pickers

All the best
