And here was I about to jump in with a "I think you will find that Tommy Bolin wasn't in Moxy", then I saw that he played as a session musician on the first album. Well there you go. Great, yet cheesy, album. Led Zep and Rush with more than a hint of REO fucking Speedwagon.



The real guitarist has solos on a couple of tunes but it is TB on the rest. They really remind me of that English (edit: they were actually Welsh) band Lone Star who were earmarked as the next big thing until Punk shoved them into the gutter.

That live version of "Ain't No Love ..." is one of those eternal live trad rock ballads like "Still In Love With You", "Catch The Rainbow" and er "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". Well maybe not the last one.
