I had a phase of really liking, then wondering what all the fuss was about, with Aimee Mann.
I saw her at The Fleahd Festival in 2001 (N.Y & Crazy Horse) and she was fantastic.
Have bought the last couple of albums and they're great.

The Posies were great live, but, again pretty patchy lp wise, apart from Frosting On The Beater which is a classic!

Jellyfish were very special though, and they more than re-created live what they achieved on plastic.

Redd Kross are another criminally ignored band, who have a fantastic repertoire of songs.

I also like the Jellyfish album! Need to dig it out and play it again sam.

I love the Posies too. I think all their songs are at the very least 'good' but some of 'em are just rock-pop hooktastic perfection. The 'Frosting...' album is brilliant as you say but alsoI love the slightly heavier (grunge influence?) "Amazing Disgrace" album. The track "You Are My World" is wonderful, like a metal Crowded House or something. If that song had been used in a movie or on the soundtrack to something like The OC, they'd be massive now.

Red Kross too. Got three of their albums and they also got heavier. Again, I think the grunge -alt-rock thing was knocking at their door a bit.
Some great tunes though.
