I had a similar phase with Aimee Mann! She seemed great & then I kinda lost interest. Except for Lost in Space, which I love unreservedly. Something very poignant & melancholy about that LP, even the little comic strip on the insert is in perfect tone.

Heard her on backing vocals on a Jim White song a while ago sounding good. World-weary and long-suffering, but good!
