Wow, I loved The Smiths from age 14 onward, and still do. Morrissey solo made fairly mediocre albums, but the first half of 'Vauxhall and I' almost matches the best Smiths tunes he ever did. I don't dislike Morrissey because he uses the Oscar Wilde imagery these days, I dislike him because he's rubbish now. Also, I feel it cheapens all that greatness he and Marr were once responsible for, which he'd rather dismiss for some reason.
