Celtic Frost - Into The Pandemonium.
Liking 80s thrash metal is like having facial hair on your eyes. People look away, you soon become the subject of ridicule and disdain and will sooner or later be killed by an angry mob of insane mothers. But this record, I maintain, is one of the best rock records of all time. So totally ridiculous, pompous, ill-advised, ill-conceived and plain bonkers it is a work of genius. Heavy as all shit.

The Stone Roses - The Second Coming.
I prefer it to the first album which has me as an object of hatred for anyone who read the NME in the late 80s and wore flares inappropriately in 1990. It's the mixture of Squire's cocaine-driven desire to play Moby Dick again and again and again, and the rest of the band being so stoned off their tits they didn't care. The result is extraordinary.
