See, I'd apply this to the earlier stuff moreso than Pandemonium. The best stuff on Pandemonium was the stuff that sounded like the earlier stuff (w/ a few differences)..Pandemonium had too much of that "wow, we can throw in a pop cover or a drum machine here, we're so much more intelligent than you brick-stupid extreme metalheads" haha..
Are you into Darkthrone? Their trilogy from '91-'94 are still the best extreme metal albums I've probably heard. So unique, epic and primitive at the same time.
