Welcome ;) an ally for those of us who are beating our heads against a thick wall of stony silence and non-explanation. You mention in another message that the bags used for filling the chalk are maybe not important, steel also is being left. Both are important in the end, its what we leave behind in Silbury that counts in the final analysis, though of course if it is impossible not to remove them then they have to stay....
