Hmm. Goodness knows why Stonehenge is so different. Probly lots of factors, one of which might be the henge thang. Avebury fits, but then, the effect is still VERY different to say, Arbor Low or Thornboro.

Don't start that thread up again!!! (LOL!) I'm still not sure that applies to all - some henges seem pretty shallow for that, tho of course erosion may play a big part. (I'm thinking of, say, Broomend of Crichie.)
