Re: Ritual Landscapes

My thoughts so far are vague and general, refer to the whole spectrum of prehistoric "art" and stones from Orkney to Urfa, 30,000 BCE to 1,500 and don't focus on any particular kinds of monuments. If I'm going to stick my neck out, may I do it as a forum post, to which you folks can reply immediately and vociferously? Would that be acceptable? This would be WAY off --although perhaps not antithetical to-- the Mother Earth Goddess theme of Mr. Cope's book.

As a very newcomer to this site, I don't want to intrude with unwelcome themes. Nigel and Jimit can appreciate that considering the "young earth" hooraw currently clogging up the Stone Pages, I'm sure. And also vouch for the fact that I'm not completely whacko. I hope.
