Brigantes, in relation to Thornborough has your research turned up any alternative names for the henges that pre-date their current, rather prosaic title? I am aware that the central henge was sometimes referred to as The Charging Ground but it seems odd that local folklore has not provided them with any other description? Also, did your Scared Vale pilgrimage give any additional insight into the ritual landscape from the Devils Arrows to the henges?
