Hi Jane. Glad you’re back. I was thinking of tempting you back with an offer to buy one of your pictures. Now you’ve saved me a fiver! ;)

Universality of the human spirit/imposed religion/self-dictated religion/no formal religion … I find myself convinced by everything everyone is saying here. The only way I can rationalize all these thoughts is to think that whatever the degree of organization their beliefs were subjected to they were the sort of natural, nature-related beliefs that each person would find self-evident for themselves and be constantly reinforced by their surroundings.

Wine into water takes a big bureaucracy to sustain, whereas water as a life-force is a much easier message to keep going.
