I often have Other Song on repeat on my iPod and just let it drift for an hour or so. Other than Trower he is the only musician who took the Jimi thing circa "Axis" and did anything vaguely new with it.


I've also got a lot of time for Cass's drumming. He always managed to get a really out there sound, rumbling and rolling around his kit. I love when he plays off through echo/reverb as tracks fade out/in as well.


Yes genius and sadly overlooked drummer.
