I dig King's X because they carry forward - with aplomb - the lineage of the funk/metal crossover vibe that Hendrix, the Isleys, Zeppelin and Mark III/IV Purple brought into life in the previous decade. They're staggering musicians as well, kicking up one helluva racket for a three-piece band. They've never had their due, but they carry on making great music regardless.

I know of King's X more than I know them if you see what I mean. I will look into 'em more. Can't remember if I've mentioned this to you before Fitter but you might like the self-titled album by "Anyone". They were a three piece that made just the one album years ago and they ploughed something of an art-funk-metal furrow similar to Jane's Addiction. I gather they split but I read awhile back that the main bloke might be doing an "Anyone" II with a different line up. The debut is a pretty great album if you're into that sort of thing.
