I hope I can squeeze this into the remit, even though it's spoken word:

Bill Hicks: Flying Saucer Tour Vol 1

The best complete gig of Bill in full flow available on cd. A couple of minutes of a separate performance had to be added at the very end as the original source tape had run out before he'd finished, but you can't tell at all when listening. It's a sometimes awkward and unresponsive crowd who just don't 'get' him, but it brings out Vintage Bill, and it's a longer gig ( hour and a half ) than his usual as he really gets stuck in. There's supposed ro be more archive on the way. Let's hope so. The more Hicks these days, the better.

Essential in any Head's collection.

Good call.

In which case I have to add Steve Wright's "I Have a Pony" album on WBros and Hick's "Shock & Awe".
