Pranking the system with Dick Clark

Yes, I've got the Johnny Lydon vs. Dick Clark tape . . . I'm sure they're lipsynching, so of course fuckin around non-seriously -- and Johnny keeps running through the audience, climbing the sets, generally making life difficult for the cameramen & producers. Dick Clark looked very uncomfortable, bordering on pissed off. Though of course the only emotion he ever shows is the "glad hand." But you know he hates it when he doesn't know what's going to happen next.

But even better was the Beastie Boys on the same show -- even more obviously lipsynching, they "played catch" with their microphones while they were "singing" -- and kept dropping the mics, so they were usually nowhere near their mouths but you can still hear the vocals . . . I thought that one was pretty funny!
