What I am interested to understand (though perhaps best posted on the Unsung board) is what there is in Julian Cope's art and shtick as a writer and performer that chimes with your politics?
Maybe you just like the tunes, the aesthetic and the head gear or perhaps you are a die hard 80s nostalgist and can ignore everything else, in which case I guess that is fair enough.
Just wondering if there is something in his lyrics that does speak to you and what that "something" (and your interpretation of that something) might be as on the face of it you are coming from opposite corners of the old core belief compass.
