Erm Well I'm a none driver and so my sympathies are indeed with the onus being on public transportation and limiting the use of cars. Absolutley, amen and hurrah.

It's just that Grufty...I think in your impassioned pleas I think your physics went a bit up the spout. I'm no physicist but surely....to get from A to B in a car and thereby expanding extra large amounts of energy to move the said ton of metal and dragging it with you...well, wouldnt it be easier to to turn the engine on, generate the required amount of energy and this move with relatively effort on you're (the fleshly thing in the drivers seat) behalf? Isn't, in fact, that what cars are in essence supposed to do. It moves you..you don't drag it.
Still, like I say.....can the cans and hit the trams baby
