Sure, they won't be very fast, but nor were the first cars.

My point is really to start anew with the design with proper intent to develop as standard. The internal combustion engine is one method, but it has its obvious drawbacks, and as someone once said "You can't polish a turd."

Alternative starting points, rather than alternative branches from the original is the focus.

Obviously this won't solve the congestion problem, but with a bit of luck, the excellent new public transport system that will be developed alongside it will then seem a bit more attractive than driving a Wind-Box 2000.
