No,no,no, you misunderstand!

I have done some stuff I wanted to do so I'm not resentful about missing opportunities. But through having those experiences I have got to know myself and to find what I want in life, where the important bits are. So I can go in the direction I want and take my kids with me. I can make a better job of sharing the bits I'm good at and being relaxed about the other stuff.
