I'll take this to extremes. Much as I was utterly dumbfounded by the Callanish monument years ago, it was the rock texture that did it, and not so much the human achievement of aligning those slabs. So much so in fact, that later that day it was more inspiring to see the ancient gneiss in its natural state on Aird Mhor or A Bheirig (above Garenin). I'm sure Le Cope would disagree, but I see these erections (sic) as testimony to a need to project the own insignificant mind onto the world and a complete failure to understand the world and accept it for what it is. This planet's wysiwyg!
Ok, and now that bottle and I have to put an end to this evening's very promising relationship...
