Hi Astral Cat, have been thinking about this news item quite a bit. Didn't react straight away as a sort weariness set in after all the work that a local campaign did to protect a particular piece of land from housing development was recently overturned by the Secretary of State. But you have to bounce back ... this story is on the front page today of the excellent 'i' (an off shoot of the Independent). It gives details of CPRE report along with a map showing the affected areas - 36 areas in all mainly around our large cities but also places like Christchurch in Dorset (3000 dwellings). Bath (4,500 dwelling and 1120 parking spaces), Bristol and South Gloucestershire (3000 dwellings and 1500 parking spaces). That's just the South West.

Its important not to let this drop out of view so many thanks for taking the trouble to post it here ... in my case anyway it at replaced inertia with awareness and I will try to join in some direct action if I can find some.

For anyone who wants to take it further contact ..

I didn't realsie that there was a map showing the effected areas in The 'I'. I'd have bought it if I'd have known. I can't find any maps or detailed info online. Do you or anyone else know of any links, tjj ?
