We need VBB on this really but the fact he falsified the shape of the snake’s head was picked up on pretty soon I assume. As for the tail, to me his famous picture of it from Fox Covert looks too detailed to be a pack of lies, although it might be exaggerated. I’ve always thought that if a lot of stones were small and resting on the surface that would explain a lot. There’s some pretty comprehensive ploughing on his picture, maybe that was extended and the stones moved just afterwards. There are loads in the hedgerows.
