The wording was just a rough draft for discussion. I guess we'll all chip in to the actual version. (Perhaps we can use a random Goffik again to limit the length of discussions!) Maybe it's too confrontational, but I wasn't meaning it as a first letter to them but as an ongoing online petition on the website, purely to demonstrate how strong and widespread the concern was. It would put some authority behind us if and when we speak to them directly although I think they'll become aware of it without us contacting them!
We can send them a reasonable letter by all means and request a bit of dialogue but it's never worked so far, in fact they often don't answer. The other alternative would be to send the URL to their PR department with a request that they sign it ;)
