Not sure I follow entirely. I haven't left - I just said I didn't want to waste time chasing names which semed to be all that we were doing. Absolutey no point in having a grand name if it has no effective energy behind it, which is why I said something about "different directions". I see nothing wrong with "as and when" The focus comes sharp when the "when" is now and the "as" is in your own back yard. I'm not trying to preach or set anything up. As I said earlier - I believed the thread headline "Getting serious about conservation", but maybe that was just me... What is the point of calling ourselves "Heritage Action" or "Ancient Sites Protection" etc and then being unable to take action or protect anything? Tarmac and the like will soon see us as a big zero and rightly ignore anything we say.
