I've been listening to lots of Pink Floyd, in alphabetical order.
I don't have anything by them later than 1981 (coz they went a bit insipid after that really) so it started with A Pillow of Winds. So far I'm up to Green is the Colour. A fine song.
I've also been trying to work out my own unique arrangement of A Pillow of Winds. I can do the first and last bits, but the middle bit ("when night comes down you lock the door... ... green fields a cold rain is falling in a golden dawn) just eludes me. A ccording to the internet the whole lot is done in E major with an added 9th, but that's just totally flat. No nuance. No nothing.
So that's part of the soundtrack too - the sound of me failing to get what I'm trying to get.
