This has been an extraordinary thread on how people tackle their rubbish, the idea of paying £160 for a gravity lock to keep one's rubbish safe is an idea I shall cherish for some time.
In the end its about the social contract we have with each other, 60 million of us living as we do cheek by jowl in a small country, we have to accept some sort of enforcement of rules about waste disposal - forget individual rights in this instance its about working together as a society.
Plus its not so terrible, think of those children and adults in some South American countries sorting out those vile festering piles of rubbish and trying to make a living out of what they find - I expect they would like a few individual rights...
