The Midlands of Ireland, another opposition of course. To be quite honest and from what I have seen of offshore turbines that would be my preferred option. When we visited the beach where Seahenge was found, there were turbines in the distance, visually beautiful against the vast flat beach and the blue skies and far out to sea!
There is a proposed (the largest in the world) offshore wind farm on Dogger Bank, there is a thread somewhere on this, but of course it would ultimately be shared with Europe....
