Discussion should allow opposing views without this continual onus on evidence/proof, especially in such diverse and fringe areas eg. the 'paranormal' v current scientific theory.

But if evidence/proof cannot be grasped in these fringe areas, how can you say its 'fact'?

Is it that you've just decided its fact to your own satisfaction?

If so, i'm afraid that doesn't make it a fact at all.

Its your belief.

Of course it's my belief, and therefore my personal fact. Doesn't have to be yours or anyone else's.

Then all you need to do is state "this is my belief, and I don't feel the need to justify it". End of problem. If you object so strongly to being questioned, then it's beyond me why you keep engaging in these discussions that you allegedly hate so much. If you don't like it, then don't feed it. Simple.
