The moon will set behind Silbury Hill as seen from the Sanctuary at about midnight on the night of March 31 and April first morning. This lunar maximum event hasn't been witnessed along this azimuth for several thousand years - would make a good feature possibly, if it's fine and clear weather. Could work out the times and dates more closely if there's interest. (There's nothing like it).

I might be prevailed upon to go there, if Pete doesn't, but I'd need a bit of basic advice on night photography, and it had better be cloudless and you'd better be right... ;)

According to an ArchaeoAstronomy group I'm on the time for this month was 18th when it was 1 degree out and checking with Starry Night Pro it did set behind Silbury. 31st March the moon sets at 7.56 and viewed from the Sanctuary sets behind EKLB, PeteG
