Clearly, from all that you have said you have some major - and informed - problems with HA in general and certain items we have dealt with.

Naturally, it's hard for us to address and correct them - which we would have absolutely no reason not to do - unless you tell us the specific matters that have upset you, and how you think they are wrong, and how you think they should be put right and the source from which you derive your contrary facts (since we'd obviously need to check them out, as we always try to do).

Mere generalised carping is a little demoralising to a bunch of well-meaning people who've worked incredibly hard to do some good, as I'm sure you'll understand. So a full, detailed itemised list will be a real help as soon as you can manage it.

Thanks.

Oh really? .....

>>>> 'I assumed from what was written in TAJ blogs that you'd contacted "official organisations" concerned for their views on certain of the "problems" you highlight??'

>>>Nope. They are merely HA observations and don't pretend to be anything else.

>quote from TAJ ".....another has been left open since September 2004 and >we can't get any information on what's happening. " and "...Enquiries have >been made and no-one seems to know who did it."

>Doesn't this imply you've asked questions? I assumed you'd asked "official >organisations", afterall they're the ones most likely to have answers?

I have no major problem with HA, but if you were interested in giving an informative view of Avebury WHS you could have done your research more thoroughly?

So no "full, detailed itemised list" then?

Just: "Mere generalised carping"

So I think we can now disregard you and get on with more useful things.

I don't think you've entirely covered yourself in glory here, if I may say so.
Yes, I think I may say so.

Try answering my question first aye?

Why not contact "official sources" for more information? Why is your unsubstantiated information of any real worth, when it's inaccurate and based on nothing more than, what, HA observations and suppositions?

I'm not interested in covering myself in glory, just as you're not interested in the truth, only propaganda.

TAJ is an HA organ and HA will do with it what it sees fit. If the editorial team wants to report on a one-legged transvestite unicyclists juggling convention at the Devil's Den, then that's exactly what they'll do. Live with it.

That's enough now, sbp. If you want your say and to be taken seriously then:
1. respond to each point in a private email to me, or
2. develop and write your own blog

Thanks.

Hey, sbp.

I've gone back through this thread and I've missed the link to your website/blog where you show the ffort you've put in to constructing a site, going out researching/observing and generally reporting on something that you love. I'm particularly keen to read through the responses you got from official sources.

It's probably my fault that I've missed the link, bit if you could post it up.

Ta!

What does it matter, you don't want to know - try asking for yourself rather than relying on others....you might find you get a different answer.

Black clothes rarely go out of fashion - just wear out. 'Never explain or apologise' except that's an incorrect quote. Everyone gets knockers 'great people are restrained by little people' - another mangled quote.

There's an artificial hill by the roadside in Brampton, Cumbria, covered in Beech trees, down among the houses. it'll be a similar size and shape to Silbury Hill. I think it's listed as a Motte yet I know the Normans weren't into such large scale earthworks. There's been plenty of prehistoric activity in the area. The Long Meg, Kirkhaugh circles and Mayburgh Henge, e.g. Yet the hill gets no attention whatsoever. Nobody's ever burrowed into it or complained about rabbit damage or nothing.

It makes you think doesn't it ?

(I tried to watch Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes last night but only got a third the way through).

Try asking myself what?
