Re: The hole for stone 56
Sep 05, 2003, 20:21
In light of the apparent evidence about the holes, we would be shot down like crows on a fence if we tried to suggest that the Stonehenge stones were dropped upright into their holes. However, if we demonstrate that stone-rowing is capable of quickly transporting huge stones over difficult terrain with a small workforce we will have accomplished a lot. If we also demonstrate that the method could be extended to dropping stones into holes, but avoid linking it to Stonehenge, then we will have given people something to think about.
