This issue isn't split down the line between archaeologists and the rest of the world - many of the archaeologists are not happy about the tunnel plan although excited by the prospect. Many of them are persuaded by the "we ought not pass this on without putting it right" argument that there is no alternative.

As for having a say - what a joke !

It is not this forum that is ignoring what others are saying - it is a few people who are railroading the tunnel plan and a very arrogant EH !

I do not recall electing them, I don't recall any govt giving them the right to act for five years in secrecy without telling the public how they are spending vast sums of public money, without telling a public that is asking what they have found, and without revealing openly what they are planning - that isn't anti-archaeo - its fact !
