We're cerebrating here in Armenia, commemorating the living spirit of Shelley by seeking out a bull-headed menhir we recently heard about near a remote village on the shores of Lake Sevan (very much in the spirit of Ozymandias). Along the way we’ll be doing a rural shrine-crawl as today is also the popular pagan holiday of Vardavar, once dedicated to a Goddess and Christianized (in name only) as The Feast of the Transfiguration. Truly, transfiguration is the operative word when thinking of Shelley and the visionary spirit of SydArthur. Indeed, Shelley’s close friend Keats perfectly summed up the visionary’s calling on this very deity, July 8th, 1819 - 199 years ago - in the closing sentence of a love letter to his girlfriend, Fanny Brawne:

"What was your dream? Tell it me and I will tell you the interpretation thereof."

Wishing all of you the festival of your dreams!
