Master's Apprentices seem to be about the 2nd most popular Australian band of the 60s period. Maybe actually the most technically, since Easybeats were all 1st generation immigrants & they took off to the UK at reaching fame.
the MAs had been going since '65 putting out great beat then psych material. Not sure what of theirs is currently available. Ascension were releasing most of the catalogue but I'm not sure it's still available. i have their edition of Tales Of Panama Red.

Ugly Things were telling the band history over the last few issues not sure if they've finished yet.

Missing Links, Purple Hearts, Human Instinct, and a few others were also great.
Check out Aztec records for the next generation of bands, early 70s stuff etc.
