Good point, this is the only place I've heard about this.

But then Morrissey is culty small potatoes in America (and supposedly most of his fans here are latino.)

As for my own feelings on the matter: seems overblown to drum up controversy. Maybe he misspoke, maybe he was misquoted, maybe he was deliberately stirring things up to get attention. To be honest, I don't care what Morrisey thinks about much of anything! This is the kind of non-news story that gets folks who don't normally tune in to "news." Trash tabloid stuff.

Though I'm not sure it means any newspapers are selling -- how many folks just read it online? ;-)
